چکیده

ABSTRACTBackground: Globally, the increasing incidence of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2D) has resulted in an upsurge research into this metabolic condition. Women, particularly Indonesia, have a greater risk T2D than males. The diversity gut microbiota (GM) is regulated by number carbs, protein, fat, and fiber consumed. Objectives: This study examined comparison between parameters, food intake, GM non-diabetic Indonesian women.Materials Methods: cohort included people who did not those did. On day 28 observations, anthropometric, physical activity, feces were collected. Feces collected for pH, SCFA, (L. plantarum, Bifidobacterium, Prevotella) analysis. Results: There significant differences diabetic women age, Waist Hip Ratio (WHR), fasting blood sugar (FBS), HbA1c. two groups differ significantly terms their macronutrient intake (calories, fat), total water, dietary fiber. Fecal pH statistically control groups. Fasting HbA1c positively associated with duration T2D, WHR, water consumption, but slightly negatively intake. was also Prevotella, meanwhile Bifidobacterium. Carbohydrate correlated acetic, propionic, butyric acid levels. Conclusion: Macronutrient fecal because increased bacause metformin consumption so that SCFA similar group.
